Job summary

Ralph Lauren Corporation is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to lead tech packs in PLM, ensuring production-ready execution and technical excellence across assigned product categories.

You will act as a technical leader, partner with Design, Product Management, suppliers and factories to solve complex fit, construction and execution challenges, and mentor junior Technical Designers while advancing departmental standards and tools.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fit, patternmaking principles, and apparel manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex product categories and technical challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Proven mentoring, coaching, or development of others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, maintenance, and approval of tech packs in PLM, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality.
• Serve as the technical expert for fit, construction, specification, and product execution decisions.
• Ensure complete and accurate hand-offs are translated into production-ready technical packages.
• Establish and maintain departmental tools, standards, and processes for efficient product execution.
• Own complex fit and execution challenges and drive resolution with cross-functional and global partners.
• Lead technical discussions with suppliers, factories, Design, Product Management, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accountability for the evolution and effectiveness of departmental tools and processes.
