Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Senior Denials Prevention Analyst to combine analytics with targeted account sampling, identifying root causes and driving reductions in initial denials to maximize reimbursement.

You will lead cross-functional discussions, prepare leadership readouts, and monitor KPI progress while partnering with revenue cycle, clinical operations, and IT teams to translate insights into effective prevention plans and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university; preferred.
• Five years of related work experience with denial prevention/ revenue cycle.
• 1-2 years experience in denial prevention or related roles within healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue cycle denial analytics to trend issues, identify root causes, and prioritize denial prevention opportunities.
• Conduct targeted account sampling and case reviews to validate findings and define corrective actions.
• Prepare concise analytics summaries and leadership readouts of workgroup findings.
• Lead cross-functional discussions to connect interdependent topics and align solutions.
• Monitor denial prevention KPIs, initiative progress, and associated revenue impact; explain fluctuations and barriers.
