Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel, statistics, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with forecasting software (NetSuite, NetStock).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management.
  • Understanding of inventory management and supply chain operations.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in S&OP processes and cross-functional planning.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts using statistical models and BI tools.
  • Incorporate inputs from sales, marketing, and finance to refine forecasts.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and seasonality to identify patterns.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate forecast performance and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with supply chain to align inventory with forecasted demand.
  • Monitor stock levels and adjust to avoid overstock or stockouts.
  • Participate in monthly S&OP meetings and present insights.
  • Assess demand risks and opportunities to support strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate promotional impacts on forecasts and adjust accordingly.
  • Develop demand plans for new product introductions with marketing teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to understand promotional impacts and new product launches.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure demand plans align with budget and revenue targets.
System & Process Optimization
  • Utilize ERP and forecasting systems to streamline planning processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
Promotional Planning
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns and promotions on demand forecasts.
  • Adjust forecasts based on promotional lift and post-event analysis.
New Product Forecasting
  • Develop demand plans fore new product introductions based on market research and historical analogs.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align launch strategies.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risk to demand plans and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor external factors (i.e. economic shifts, supply disruptions) that may impact demand.
Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement
  • Track forecast accuracy and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead initiatives to improve forecasting processes and reduce forecast error.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
