Summit Hill Foods in New York is seeking a Sr. Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on developing accurate forecasts, analyzing sales and inventory trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and partnering across the organization to support production and supply planning. This hybrid position requires three days per week in the office, with two days eligible for remote work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years SAP experience in planning or supply chain.
• 5+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with large datasets.
• Understanding of forecasting, inventory, production planning, and supply chain.
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short- and long-term demand forecasts.
• Analyze demand patterns, forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and production requirements.
• Use SAP to analyze material, inventory, production, sales, and planning data.
• Utilize advanced Excel to develop forecasting tools.
• Identify forecast variances and root causes; recommend actions.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations.
• Track and report planning metrics such as forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
• Develop dashboards and analytical tools for decision-making.
• Participate in S&OP/IBP processes.
• Support new product launches and seasonal demand changes.
