Job summary

Randstad USA in Portland, Oregon invites a Senior Demand and Inventory Planner to join as a contract on a hybrid basis. The role requires 5+ years in demand and inventory planning, strong analytics, ERP experience, and leadership to optimize inventory and e-commerce growth.

You will own the consensus forecast, set safety-stock targets, monitor stock levels, and lead category reviews with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align strategy and improve service levels while balancing working capital.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory planning, merchandise planning, or supply-chain analytics.
• Advanced Excel capability with hands-on experience using ERP and demand-planning platforms.
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the consensus demand forecast across all channels and product categories, incorporating sales trends, seasonality, launches, and e-commerce growth assumptions.
• Establish safety-stock targets, reorder policies, and service-level expectations to balance product availability against working capital and excess stock risks.
• Monitor supply metrics, projected stockout dates, and backorders early enough to recommend buy quantities and receipt timing to Supply Planning.
• Create e-commerce demand scenarios, monitor early selling behavior, and maintain inventory-risk dashboards for product launches and expansions.
• Lead recurring category and inventory-health reviews with leadership to communicate financial implications and align strategy across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
