Job summary

American Rheinmetall Vehicles in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead high-velocity software development programs for mission-critical Defense and DoD customers. You will drive full lifecycle delivery from requirements to cybersecurity accreditation and deployment.

You will coordinate across software engineering, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and IT to deliver secure, high-quality software solutions to the warfighter, with oversight of schedules, costs, and contractor

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience delivering complex U.S. Defense or DoD software programs.
Experience with EVM, DELTEK, MS Project, SAP, and software lifecycle tools.

Responsibilities

Direct support to the Programs Director.
Lead end-to-end program management of Defense/DoD software contracts.
Oversee cross-functional teams spanning software engineering, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and systems engineering.
Manage subcontractor performance related to software development and testing.
Engage directly with U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and other DoD customers.
Lead rapid development cycles including prototyping, testing, and iterative releases.
Maintain financial oversight, earned value performance, and contract compliance.
Support AR capture and proposal efforts for Defense software programs.
Manage program documentation using PLM and configuration management tools.
Continuous improvement of processes and software delivery efficiency.
