Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Senior Program Manager – Development to lead the engineering development activities for Combat Vehicle programs and oversee integration across digital, mechanical, and electrical domains.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage cost and schedule, and support proposal efforts, with travel to Germany and other sites as needed. The role requires strong leadership and risk management to deliver on USG commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in one of the specified engineering or business fields.
• 10+ years of delivering large, complex US defense programs, preferably vehicle development.
• Experience with capture, bid contract negotiations, and planning delivery.
• Experience with program management tools such as Earned Value Management, Deltek, MS Project, SAP, and MS Office.
• Experience in working with large cross-functional teams, gathering information for submittal.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Direct support to Combat Vehicle Program Director and other Combat Vehicle Programs.
• Lead a team by example, ensuring adherence to processes and operating procedures.
• Develop organizational structure within AR to promote clear responsibilities.
• Support development and maturation of AR Program Management tools and processes.
• Contribute toward AR Capture and Proposal teams for compliant proposals.
• Support delivery and control of small-scale projects.
• Manage program data elements to ensure on-time delivery to USG customer using PLM tools.
• Manage data transfers between AR and subcontractors and vendors.
• Generate program metrics to support monitoring and control.
• Travel to Germany and other sites as required.
