Job summary

Belcan seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead large, complex defense engineering programs in Warren, MI. You will drive cost, schedule, and performance management, coordinating cross‑functional teams and handling customer communications to ensure milestone delivery.

Responsibilities include RFP oversight, IMS-based risk management, and program reviews with DoD customers and subcontractors. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or business is required; master’s and PMI/PMP are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities; adept at staffing data metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with government/DoD program management and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cost management from cradle to end of life, including RFP processes and monthly performance reporting.
  • Manage all schedule aspects and ensure deliverables and dates are met; actively manage risk.
  • Oversee performance to meet or exceed SOW requirements; track program metrics via IMS, budgets, and risk logs.
  • Coordinate manpower planning, resource assignment, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Lead program reviews and design reviews with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Support business development and forecasting within the department.
