Job summary

Lyntris, a defense technology company, seeks a senior software engineer to design and implement advanced algorithms in C++ within Linux environments. You will prototype AI/ML solutions using MATLAB, Python, and TensorFlow, and use GitLab, Docker, and Podman for development and deployment.

Required 10+ years of engineering experience and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance. This full-time role is based in San Diego, CA, with strong collaboration across defense domains and customers.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Experience with probability and statistics, estimation theory, ML, graph theory, or optimization techniques
• Expertise in C++, preferably in a Linux environment
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Interpersonal skills for customer interactions, team leadership, collaboration, and business development

Responsibilities

• Apply mathematical and engineering knowledge to support advanced algorithm development.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications in C++ on Linux.
• Prototype algorithms and software using MATLAB, Python, and TensorFlow.
• Use GitLab, Docker, and Podman for version control and deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues to improve system performance.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to provide technical leadership.
