Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Armaments Systems seeks a Program Manager 3 to oversee Combat Munitions programs from strategy to production in Plymouth, MN. The role emphasizes production planning, cross-functional leadership, and growth to $300M annually as part of the long-range plan.

The PM-3 will manage program plans, financials, and a growing production capacity while guiding a diverse team and coordinating with customers to ensure program success.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years with a Master’s Degree in gov/commercial contracts or PM
  • Experience leading programs on schedule and within cost constraints
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and communicating with all levels of management
  • Experience managing revenue, profit and cash performance of programs
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build strong customer relationships
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation for complex programs
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-project management skills
  • Proficiency in pricing, proposals, and supplier management
  • Be capable of obtaining a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

  • Advocate and implement the Combat Munitions strategy and OU Director’s vision.
  • Manage VLSAS, SLAM, and SAVO portfolio revenue, profit, and cash.
  • Provide leadership to dotted line managers and operations for program start-up to production.
  • Participate in OU business strategic and discretionary planning.
  • Plan capital expenditures supporting development and production goals.
  • Lead and develop the program team and ensure issue resolution.
  • Direct program and product strategy aligned with the business plan.
  • Manage risk, issues and opportunities to protect portfolio performance.
  • Define program objectives, communicate them, and motivate the team.
  • Coordinate with customers and partners; brief senior leadership on opportunities.
