Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors; 10 with Masters; 8 with PhD
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior engineers
• DoD 8140 Certification for IAT Level II or higher within 2 months
• Advanced network certifications (CCNA, CCNP) preferred
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of DoD and industry network trends and use them where applicable
• Lead diagnosis and resolution of critical network incidents to minimize downtime
• Perform deep-dive network performance analyses and optimize where possible
• Design, implement, and maintain network configurations and upgrades
• Ensure adherence to network security standards and policy development
• Provide SME guidance to teams and ensure best practices
• Oversee patch management and vulnerability remediation programs
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
• Develop and maintain runbooks and SOPs for all network services
• Work with ISSM to ensure RMF/NIST/ITAR compliance and audit readiness
• Collaborate with SOC Lead and ISSE to ensure robust secure operations
