Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Alabama/Florida State Bar is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of defense litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines.
• Pre-trial and trial experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to client service and ethical legal practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple defense litigation matters from case evaluation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analyze applicable statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies and provide practical legal recommendations to clients.
• Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and reviewing relevant documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Assist with pre-trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibits, motions, and trial strategy.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and participate in trials as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, witnesses, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, billing records, and matter documentation.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality legal services.
• Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
