Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Contracts Manager to support defense simulation contracting operations. You will prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts and subcontracts ensuring FAR/DFARS/ITAR compliance and policy adherence.

Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Program Management to align transactions with Shield AI’s strategic objectives; manage regulatory risks and records, with hybrid work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years in contract management, defense-focused.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, OTAs, ITAR.
• Experience negotiating complex terms and government contracts.
• Excellent communication and organization; detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify contract vehicles and prepare/execute contracts and related documents.
• Draft and negotiate subcontracts and supplier agreements.
• Administer large government contracts, monitor compliance and negotiations.
• Serve as primary contact for contractual matters with customers and vendors.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, PM to align with strategic objectives.
• Identify contractual and regulatory risks and ensure FAR/DFARS/ITAR compliance.
• Manage rights in technical data and software for government contracts.
• Maintain records and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Issue RFPs and perform cost/price analysis when applicable.
• Coordinate subcontractor evaluations with stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor a small business subcontracting plan.
