Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Senior Acquisition Operations Specialist to support a high-visibility Army acquisition organization in Huntsville, Alabama.

The role advises on acquisition planning, program oversight, and reporting, coordinating with PMO leadership and government stakeholders to drive mission execution. The ideal candidate has 15+ years supporting DoD programs, an active security clearance, and a Bachelor's degree, with preferred DAWIA/PMP credentials.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• 15+ years of experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense acquisition programs.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience supporting Army Program Executive Offices (PEOs) or Project Manager Offices (PMOs).
• Experience preparing acquisition documentation, executive briefings, decision papers, and program review materials.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, lifecycle management, and program oversight requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate acquisition planning activities, systems readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and other formal program reviews.
• Execute recurring acquisition data collection, analysis, validation, and reporting acrossArmy and defense program management systems and databases.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on acquisition oversight processes, reporting tools, lifecycle management requirements, and program tracking systems.
• Develop executive briefings, decision papers, executive summaries, reports, and recommendations for senior government and PMO leadership.
• Analyze complex acquisition, management, and technical issues and recommend solutions to improve program execution and organizational performance.
• Review and coordinate action papers, staff studies, regulations, policies, manuals, and investigative reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of organizational policies, procedures, information management processes, and security-related initiatives.
• Coordinate special projects and sensitive initiatives involving senior Army leadership, program executive offices, and external government organizations.
• Evaluate organizational budget requirements and provide analysis and recommendations supporting special programs and strategic initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned in support of mission and business requirements.
