Job summary

Humana Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Decision Intelligence to build, deploy, and operate ML and decisioning pipelines for the NBA Decision Intelligence Platform.

This role focuses on production pipeline development, MLOps, feature engineering, scoring workflows, monitoring, and constraint-aware decisioning, ensuring eligibility and channel constraints while aligning with program goals and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field.
• 5+ years of software engineering or quantitative research experience with large-scale production systems.
• 2+ years of software engineering or quantitative research experience with data-intensive platforms.
• 2+ years hands-on experience implementing RL, OR methods, or simulation-driven decision systems in production.
• Proficiency in Python 3.x and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with Ray RLlib or equivalent distributed frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate ML and decisioning pipelines for production.
• Focus on MLOps, feature engineering, scoring workflows, monitoring, and optimization.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers, platform engineers, and product owners to deliver scalable systems.
• Ensure auditable production systems with governance for safety and compliance.
