Job summary

Vanguard in Malvern is seeking a Debit Card Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day card portfolio performance, controls, and continuous improvement. You will manage transaction processing, disputes, fraud coordination, and vendor interactions to ensure secure, compliant operations while meeting SLAs.

You will work cross-functionally with Fraud, Risk, Compliance, and external partners, leading a team to optimize processes, reduce losses, and maintain a high-quality customer experience through

Qualifications

• 5+ years in debit/credit card operations or payments operations.
• 2+ years managing operational workflows, SLAs, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of disputes/chargebacks and card lifecycle operations.
• Experience with vendors/processors and incident/problem management (RCA).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actions.
• FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 required or obtainable within dept.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end debit card operational processes including issuance, activation, maintenance, replacement, processing, and servicing oversight.
• Oversee disputes/chargebacks aligned to network rules and regulatory requirements; manage third parties.
• Lead vendor and network/processor management; drive performance via metrics and RCA.
• Coordinate with Fraud, Risk, Compliance to mitigate losses and ensure controls.
• Support incident management, business continuity, and post-incident improvements.
• Lead and develop a team of card operations analysts/specialists; staffing and performance reviews.
