Dyer & Dyer Volvo, part of the Sonic Automotive family, invites you to join as Controller, the senior accounting leader for the dealership. The role partners with the General Manager and Regional Controller to enforce policies, maintain internal controls, and deliver timely financial statements and forecasts.

We seek 3–5 years of Public Dealer experience, strong Excel/Office capabilities, and excellent communication and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or equivalent experience with strong financial acumen.
• 5 years’ experience managing the accounting function and staff at a dealership.
• Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical, forecasting and budgeting abilities.
• Experience with dealership management software (ADP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide support to all departments to increase revenue and control expenses.
• Maintain orderly, current and accurate accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Recruit, supervise and develop dealership office staff.
• Audit balance sheets and schedules; coordinate with Regional Controller on issues.
• Assist operations with forecasting and budgeting.
• Prepare timely financial statements and reconciliations.
• Review schedules monthly and correct discrepancies.
• Ensure daily DOC reports are accurate.
