Job summary

Renesas seeks an experienced Senior Application Engineer to drive validation and optimization of DDR5 memory systems, focusing on power efficiency and performance. You will validate new DDR5 power modules, develop bench automation tools, analyze system power behavior, and collaborate with design, product, and test teams to meet stringent specifications.

Strong communication and documentation will be essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
4+ years of experience in power management, memory system design, or related fields.
3+ years of focus on DDR5 or similar high-speed memory technologies.

Responsibilities

Validate new DDR5 power modules and products, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
Conduct system-level analysis to improve DDR5 power efficiency while maintaining performance.
Develop and maintain bench automation software for data collection and analysis of DDR5 power consumption.
Provide technical support for DDR5 power-related issues during development and integration with customers.
Collaborate with design, product, test, packaging and other teams to meet performance specs.
Prepare documentation including specifications, datasheets, power analysis reports and test plans.
