Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking an experienced Senior Application Engineer to drive validation, implementation, and optimization of DDR5 memory systems with a focus on power efficiency and reliability.

The role covers product validation, system-level analysis, and tool development while collaborating with design, product, test, and packaging teams to meet performance specs. Requires 4+ years in power/memory design and DDR5 exposure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
4+ years in power management or memory system design; DDR5 exp a plus
Hands-on bench validation of analog, digital, and power management devices
Strong knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuits
Automation experience with LabVIEW or Python
Experience supporting customers and producing technical collateral
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Product Validation: validate new power module products for DDR5 memory and controllers with bench measurements
System-level Analysis: analyze DDR5 modules to improve power efficiency without sacrificing performance
Tool Development: build bench automation software and simulation models for DDR5 power studies
Customer Support: provide technical support during development and integration phases
Cross-functional Collaboration: work with design, product, test, and packaging teams
Documentation and Reporting: prepare specifications, datasheets, power analyses, and test plans
