Job summary
Evonik Corporation in Etowah, TN seeks a process control/automation specialist to provide technical and engineering support to the site’s process network and DCS systems. You’ll program, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain plant control system components to meet productivity and safety goals.
You will lead documentation, coordinate with maintenance, and drive improvements in alarm management and standard programming practices across the site, ensuring compliance with safety and quality
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Process Control or Programming.
- 5+ years of relevant experience or 10 years with notable achievements.
- Experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain plant control system components.
- Ensure plant productivity related to control systems.
- Run monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and backups as needed.
- Determine areas of improvement (low memory and limited processing) and drive projects to completion.
- Support automation configuration issues related to Capital Projects and coordinate with third-party resources.
- Ensure FDS are in place for all processes on site.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Plant personnel for control system support.
- Lead alarm management improvement activities.
- Write and update plant control system documentation including diagrams and databases.
- Ensure site standards for control systems are met.
- Lead checkout operations of new systems and mechanical integrity processes.
- Implement a standard programming framework for automation.
