Job summary

Advanced Tech Placement is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer III to manage EPMS and Client BMS systems, ensuring reliable operation and performance in critical facilities.

The role requires extensive experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Siemens) and Client EPMS, plus ability to coordinate with IT and vendors, and to travel as needed. A strong background in design reviews and alarms documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related engineering degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience with critical monitoring/control systems
• 5+ years of PLC programming experience including design reviews and RFIs/RFPs
• 10+ years of experience with industrial control PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Schneider Siemens, etc.
• Familiarity with Client EPMS systems
• Knowledge of power distribution in data centers or critical facilities
• Up to 25% travel requirement
• US Citizenship required by contract
• Ignition and/or Aveva WonderWare certifications helpful

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Electric Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Building Management Systems (Client)
• Ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably
• Interface with design consultants and vendors
• Lead training for regional engineers
• Develop standards for alarms and documentation
• Coordinate DCIM requirements with IT operations
• Contribute to system inspections and testing
