Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Senior DC Strategic Optimization Specialist to partner with internal teams and vendors to drive efficiencies in Ambient & Perishable DC operations. The role centers on data analysis, ownership of data workstreams, and presenting actionable recommendations to leadership.

On-site positioning at a distribution center is required. You will build dashboards, support budgeting, and deliver insights that reduce costs while improving inventory visibility and omni‑channel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of retail or distribution experience.
• Experience in supply chain management.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to present to and influence team members and business partners with data‑driven insights.
• Clear and concise communication of recommendations.
• Desire to coach and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Support development, monitoring, and reporting of operational metrics and KPIs.
• Develop and own portions of the DC annual budget and monthly rolling plan.
• Provide analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals.
• Model, analyze, and report on strategic initiatives to inform the business of challenges and opportunities.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting and presentations as requested by leadership.
