Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Sr. DC Department Lead to assist the Department Manager/Supervisor with daily planning, team assignments, and training of new hires at a distribution center.

The role involves ensuring safety, directing training, and maintaining productive operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will guide performance, coordinate with leadership, and be prepared for a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work in tandem with the Department Manager/Supervisor to determine production goals, daily operational tasks, monitor performance, and strategically adjust team member work assignments as needed.
• Initiate and direct training, coach, and develop team members while holding them accountable on their job performance and productivity.
• Knowledge of WMS applications or ability to learn to audit, research, and resolve inventory variances; as well as respond to team members' questions and issues.
• Be a positive example and role model for driving a Culture of Safety First.
• Be flexible and willing to work outside of normal shifts as business needs dictate.
