Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Industrial Engineer, Distribution Center Process Development to lead the design, standardization, and optimization of Rivian’s warehouse processes worldwide.

The role partners with IT to translate business needs into SAP EWM solutions, and requires on-site presence at the warehouse at least 3 days weekly. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years in project or process improvement, expertise in WMS, and a proven track record in scalable distribution operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in project/program management, continuous improvement leadership, or process improvement.
• Previous experience in process management and standardization focused on distribution or warehousing.
• Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP EWM; design and roll-out of WMS processes including slotting, pick/putaway, order prioritization, and master data management.
• Understanding of interface between WMS and MRP systems.
• Knowledge of lean methodologies and visual management with continuous improvement.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Map, design, and standardize warehouse processes (End to End DC Process).
• Work on-site with warehouse teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with IT to translate business requirements for SAP EWM capabilities.
• Set roadmap for warehouse capabilities to enable scalability of Rivian’s service distribution network.
• Investigate ROI for new technologies to improve productivity.
• Develop processes to track KPIs at Distribution Centers.
• Ensure programs are developed and administered in compliance with Rivian’s objectives.
• Create and maintain models for warehouse capacity planning across network.
• Serve as liaison between business/operations and IT development teams.
• Drive solutions for complex warehouse and distribution opportunities across locations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience, Master’s Preferred
