Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to oversee receiving, warehousing, shipping, inventory accuracy and customer quality in the Distribution Center. The role leads cross-functional initiatives and acts as the DC leader in the Operations Manager's absence.

You will mentor salaried and hourly staff, drive continuous improvement with Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma, and partner with Transportation, Account Management, CEC and Corporate Operations. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading daily distribution center operations.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement using Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma concepts.
• Strong collaboration with multiple stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily DC operations across Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Control, Bulk, or Lum.
• Act as the primary contact and decision-maker in the absence of the Operations Manager.
• Coordinate daily DC operations to align with service, quality, and cost objectives.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance process efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Support, mentor, and motivate salaried and hourly workforce.
• Travel to other sites to support operational needs.
• Collaborate with leaders and teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Partner with Transportation, Account Management, CEC, and Corporate Operations to support goals.
• Manage schedules and administrative duties for the DC.
