Job summary

Medline is seeking a Director of Operations to lead a new distribution center in Midlothian, Texas. This role will establish the site’s team, operating culture and performance standards, while driving a safe, efficient, customer-focused operation on the floor and in leadership roles.

The candidate will oversee order fulfillment, inventory management, workforce planning, safety, service and cost performance, collaborating with sales and transport teams. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years in distribution center or similar operations.
• 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Ability to lead across shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for daily distribution center operations, ensuring orders are fulfilled safely, accurately and on time.
• Build, develop and lead a high-performing operations team across managers, supervisors and frontline staff.
• Plan staffing, training, performance management and employee development.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and housekeeping standards.
• Monitor performance and use data to improve cost, service, quality and inventory accuracy.
• Oversee inventory receipt, storage and movement and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
