Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Sr. Manager of Engineering and Facilities to lead and optimize the distribution center’s automation and maintenance programs.

You will oversee technical staff, coordinate contractors, and ensure equipment uptime while aligning with safety standards and corporate priorities. The role requires extensive experience with material handling systems, PLC/industrial controls, and SCADA HMIs, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with a controls emphasis.
• 5+ years engineering experience supporting, commissioning and troubleshooting PLC/PC industrial control systems and their networks.
• Experience with SCADA HMIs and motion control for material handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SME for Ulta material handling systems and electronics equipment.
• Lead maintenance and optimization of facilities, ensuring minimal downtime and budget adherence.
• Manage vendors and internal teams to meet KPI targets and safety standards.
• Collaborate with supply chain and IT teams to deploy improvements across distribution centers.
