Job summary

Vistrada is seeking a Senior dbt Developer to design, build, and maintain dbt models in Snowflake for financial, tax, and revenue data. This fully remote role aligns to Eastern Time hours and supports audit-ready data environments.

You will develop ELT pipelines, automate extractions from ERP/financial systems, and create Tableau dashboards for finance and accounting stakeholders while ensuring SOX controls and data lineage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering/analytics roles with at least 3 years building production dbt models on Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of financial data, tax/revenue reporting, and SOX controls.
• Advanced SQL skills with Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau.
• Strong data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable dbt models in Snowflake for financial, tax, and revenue data.
• Develop and optimize ELT pipelines; automate data extraction from source systems.
• Create and support Tableau dashboards and certified data sources for finance, tax, and accounting.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close with timely, reconciled data and reporting.
• Provide data, documentation, and historical/point-in-time extracts for audits.
• Implement SOX-aligned controls, testing, change management, and access governance.
• Maintain data lineage, documentation, and automated quality tests.
• Identify workflow improvements and provide analytics support to finance and tax teams.
• Monitor Snowflake performance and cost; troubleshoot pipelines and models.
• Document data models and processes; manage multiple projects end-to-end.
• Communicate technical details clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
