Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to lead MongoDB and Oracle environments for enterprise applications in the US. You will guide database design, performance tuning, data modeling, and operational support, delivering scalable solutions.

The role requires US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance, with 8+ years of database experience and hands-on expertise in MongoDB and Oracle.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience, or HS diploma with 12 years of experience.
• 8+ years of demonstrated database experience.
• Hands-on expertise with MongoDB and/or relational DBs, including Oracle.
• Experience in database design, performance tuning, optimization, data modeling, and operational support.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale databases (>5TB).
• Ability to maintain enterprise DB environments for performance, reliability, and availability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Database SME, providing technical guidance to development and technical teams.
• Lead database design, data modeling, performance tuning, optimization, implementation, and operational support.
• Design, implement, and support MongoDB and relational database environments, including Oracle.
• Design, implement, and support large-scale databases exceeding 5TB, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and identify opportunities for performance and operational improvements.
• Support Databricks and enterprise-level data solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and technical teams to develop and maintain scalable, high-performing database solutions.
