Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in MongoDB and Oracle to support enterprise applications. You will lead database design, performance tuning, and data modeling while providing hands-on expertise across MongoDB, Oracle, and Databricks.

You will design, implement, and support large-scale databases (>5TB), troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with developers and architects to build scalable, high-performing database solutions across the tech stack

Qualifications

8+ years of demonstrated database experience.
Strong hands-on expertise with MongoDB and Oracle.
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 8 years experience or HS diploma with 12 years.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Database SME, providing technical expertise and guidance to development and technical teams.
Lead database design, data modeling, performance tuning, optimization, implementation, and operational support.
Design, implement, and support MongoDB and relational database environments, including Oracle.
Design, implement, and support large-scale databases exceeding 5TB, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Troubleshoot complex database issues and identify opportunities for performance and operational improvements.
Support Databricks and enterprise-level data solutions.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and technical teams to develop and maintain scalable, high‑performing database solutions.
