Job summary

Meridian Technology Group in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Database Administrator C. Advanced to manage DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, and Oracle across multiple platforms, ensuring the data architectures meet department standards and AST security requirements.

You will perform daily operations, design and optimize schemas, conduct performance tuning, review SQL, document procedures, and mentor staff as part of a collaborative team on a 1-year, on-site contract with health benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS, performance management and DB2 administration.
• In-depth knowledge of z/OS utilities and system coordination.
• Solid experience with COBOL, CICS, and RACF security controls.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle database integration and migration tasks.
• Familiarity with ISPF and JCL for batch processing and job control.

Responsibilities

• Daily operational and database administration activities.
• Plan, design, implement, and support database structures.
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
• Perform SQL code reviews.
• Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff.
