Job summary

Intel Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks an experienced Software Application Development Engineer for Government Programs within the Foundry Automation team. The role focuses on building integrated data systems to improve manufacturing output and productivity across Intel’s global plants.

You will design and maintain robust database systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply data engineering techniques including ML and optimization to meet ambitious factory goals.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS/SCI clearance.
• BS degree with 7+ years of experience, or MS with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years in CS/CE/IS or related field.
• 5+ years in enterprise database design, development, deployment and performance tuning (Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL).
• 4+ years in data transformations, data structures, metadata, workload management, OO design, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into data and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain factory automation database systems.
• Optimize and integrate solutions to improve factory performance and cycle time.
• Collaborate with automation engineers, manufacturing planners, and industrial engineers to build data-driven solutions.
• Document and support post-deployment systems and ensure scalability.
