Job summary

Easterseals NH in Manchester, NH is seeking an Adult Day Program Assistant to support older adults in a compassionate, person-centered program. The role involves activities, safety, and helping participants engage in community and social activities.

The position is full-time (38 hours/week), Monday–Friday with flexible hours between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, paying $20 per hour. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; training provided by the program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience working with the senior population.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assists staff in the delivery of services to clients.
• Help motivate clients to assume their maximum level of independence when engaging in program and community activities.
• Guide client with maintenance level therapy/walking and exercise programs.
• Encourage clients to participate in social situations and peer interaction.
• Help with daily and program activities as assigned and/or needed.
• Attend staff meetings, conferences and family meetings as requested.
• Keep appropriate appearance, attitude and conduct.
• Maintain positive working relationship with inter/intra agency sources.
• Treating all clients with respect and maintaining client confidentiality.
• The job duties for CACFP are as assigned.
