Job summary

Keeper Security is seeking a Senior DataDog Engineer to join the DevOps team in a role that can be 100% remote from select locations, with a hybrid option for candidates in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro areas.

You will own and scale Datadog-based security observability, SIEM operations, and detection engineering across production and corporate environments, partnering with Security Operations, Infrastructure, SRE and Engineering teams to ensure telemetry supports real-world threat

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Datadog experience in detection engineering and security observability.
• Hands-on production experience administering and engineering Datadog in complex cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with log pipelines, parsing rules, facets, indexes and retention strategies.
• Ability to design and tune detection rules and correlation logic.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve Datadog Cloud SIEM, security monitoring and observability capabilities across production and corporate environments.
• Design, build and maintain detection and telemetry capabilities across Datadog, SentinelOne, Wiz and related security platforms.
• Develop, test and tune high-fidelity Datadog detection rules aligned to real-world attack scenarios and adversary behaviors.
• Improve alert quality by reducing false positives, eliminating noise and increasing detection accuracy.
• Design and maintain Datadog log pipelines, processors, parsing rules, facets, indexes, archives and retention strategies.
• Implement and mature detection‑as‑code practices for scalable, version‑controlled and testable rule management.
