Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer for its Datacenter Performance and Power Management Software team in Santa Clara. You will architect production software for datacenter power management controllers and drive end-to-end power management across racks and data halls.

You will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, drivers, OS, and AI workloads, spanning pre-silicon validation to deployment in large data-center infrastructures.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of system software experience across embedded firmware, device drivers, or related production software.
• Strong C programming and low-level software development skills.
• Experience interpreting hardware specs and designing software interfaces for registers and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, implement, and debug data center power and performance-management software.
• Develop real-time controllers and policies to optimize performance, power, and thermals.
• Lead features across the full product lifecycle from requirements to production support.
• Collaborate with GPU architects to define hardware-software interfaces for power management.
• Analyze complex interactions among workloads, clocks, voltages, and telemetry.
• Lead investigation and resolution of power, performance, and reliability issues.
• Develop validation strategies and automation for correctness and robustness.
• Create architecture and interface specifications for new power-management features.
