Theoris is assisting a client in Lafayette, IN to hire a Senior System Engineer responsible for servers and datacenter architectures across Windows and Linux. Includes design, installation, and ongoing improvement of datacenter technologies aligned with IT needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computing fields.
• Expertise with scripting/automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform).
• Strong Windows and Linux administration, architecture, and deployment.
• Experience designing hypervisor environments (VMware vSphere, Nutanix AOS).
• Storage array management (HPE Alletra, Dell PowerStore, NetApp, Pure).
• Knowledge of DR and BC: Zerto, SRM, backups, and BC planning.
• Active Directory design, GPOs, DNS, AD CS, DHCP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect datacenter and cloud architectures and clusters.
• Install and configure Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage hypervisor environments (VMware vSphere, Nutanix AOS).
• Create and implement cloud architecture with Azure DevOps in CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain and optimize storage arrays (HPE Alletra, Dell PowerStore, NetApp, Pure).
• Enforce security-first mindset with least privilege and PAM principles.
• Document environment comprehensively and share knowledge within the team.
• Progress projects with minimal supervision and adapt to changing duties.
