Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Senior Databricks / Snowflake Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of a cloud-native data platform. You will drive architecture, prototyping, and production implementations across multi-asset TCA, analytics, and reporting capabilities.

You will mentor teams, shape technology roadmaps, and ensure governance, security, and operational excellence while collaborating with researchers, product, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Hands-on with Databricks including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, Structured Streaming.
• Proficiency in Snowflake data modelling, performance tuning, governance.
• Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and modern ELT/ETL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture for a next-gen data platform using Databricks and Snowflake.
• Lead technology evaluations, proofs-of-concept, and rapid prototyping.
• Develop scalable data lakehouse solutions and data pipelines for real-time and batch workloads.
• Define standards for data governance, security, and observability.
