Job summary

Deloitte's AI & Data practice seeks a Databricks Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines across AWS/Azure/GCP. You will enable analytics, data governance, and AI use cases to drive measurable business outcomes for enterprise clients.

As Data Engineer III, you will own pipeline development, champion best practices, mentor teams, and collaborate with executives and technologists to deliver scalable data solutions and robust CI/CD deployments using modern cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering with Databricks on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with Lakehouse, Spark, Delta Lake, cloud databases, storage, and distributed compute.

Responsibilities

• Champion best practices for data architecture, integration, and modelling.
• Oversee design and maintenance of data pipelines for enterprise data needs.
• Improve data quality, efficiency, and process scalability.
• Lead teams of data engineers and architects and foster growth.
• Design governance, security, and compliance for cloud data ecosystems.
• Communicate technical concepts and business value to stakeholders.
• Oversee CI/CD deployment automation using tools like Azure DevOps, AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, or PowerShell.
