Job summary

Deloitte seeks a Databricks Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines enabling large-scale transformation. You will work with cross-functional teams to modernize data environments and support analytics and AI use cases for clients.

A successful candidate will bring 3+ years in data engineering, Databricks/Spark experience, and strong communication skills to drive data-driven outcomes across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree required in a technical field as listed.
• 3+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or data platform engineering.
• 2+ years building data pipelines in Databricks with Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with data models, integration patterns, and cloud-based processing workflows.
• Experience on at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data engineering solutions using Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Support modernization of enterprise data platforms with cloud-based ingestion, transformation, and storage patterns.
• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data workflows for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Apply data architecture, integration, and modeling practices to improve data quality, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with client and Deloitte teams to troubleshoot issues and support large-scale transformation programs.
