Job summary

SingleStore is seeking a Support Engineer to join our enterprise-facing team in the United States. You will dive into database internals, memory allocators, Linux configurations, and SQL query behavior to diagnose and resolve complex issues for critical customers.

You will collaborate with developers, QA, and SREs to improve processes and documentation, write run-books, and ensure a consistently positive support experience across engagements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of advanced customer-facing technical support experience.
• Experience with MySQL or MySQL-like databases and SQL query optimization.
• Solid sysadmin/QA/Testing skill set with Linux, I/O, and logging.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide email and live technical support to enterprise customers, diagnosing complex issues.
• Identify and reproduce product issues, perform QA, and file bug reports or feature requests.
• Collaborate with software developers, sales engineers, and technical account managers to communicate issues.
• Contribute to improving support and engineering processes, write internal run-books or public docs.
• Ensure a positive support experience in every interaction.
