Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Database Specialist Solutions Architect to design complete solutions using AWS database services. You will work with customers and partners, lead technical deep dives, and support migrations from Oracle/SQL Server to AWS databases like RDS and Aurora.

Travel ~25% in the US is expected. You will collaborate with Sales and Product teams to craft innovative data solutions and serve as a trusted advisor to executives navigating cloud transformations and data

Qualifications

Experience designing architectures using AWS database services.
Ability to migrate applications from on-prem databases to AWS.
Strong communication with executives and technical teams.
Proven track record in architecting relational and non-relational data solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide AWS customers with deep technical expertise for Database Services.
Lead architectural reviews and workshops on database use cases.
Serve as trusted technical advisor to executives during cloud transformation.
Design and architect complex database solutions across relational and non-relational tech.
Deliver proof-of-concept projects and technical workshops.
Support migrations from Oracle/SQL Server to AWS databases such as RDS/Aurora.
Create reference architectures and best-practice content.
Present at AWS events and educate customers on data workloads.
