Job summary

AWS is seeking a Database Specialist Solutions Architect to design complete solution architectures using AWS database services. You will collaborate with customers and partners on engagements, deliver proof-of-concept projects, and lead technical workshops to migrate or build database solutions on AWS.

You will engage with database specialists sellers and stakeholders, travel ~25% in the US, and help customers adopt relational and non-relational databases at scale, optimizing for production

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software, cloud, systems engineering or data & analytics.
• 3+ years designing or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
• Experience communicating with executives or clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical expertise and strategic guidance to customers on AWS Database Services.
• Collaborate with AWS specialist sales, marketing, and product teams to develop solutions for customers' business problems.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to executives navigating cloud transformation.
• Lead architectural reviews and workshops for common use cases and best practices.
• Design and architect database solutions based on relational or non-relational technologies.
• Champion industry best practices through thought leadership content and events.
• Present at AWS events like re:Invent and AWS Summit.
• Educate customers on AWS data management value proposition for production workloads.
• Stay current with trends in Database, Analytics and GenAI to enable customer innovation.
• Travel approximately 25% on average, mostly in the US.
