Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Senior Database Platform Engineer to lead design, build, and operation of secure, scalable database platforms used by global applications. You will shape platform strategy, champion automation and IaC, and ensure high availability across hybrid and cloud environments.

The role requires deep database engineering expertise (Oracle, Redis, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in CI/CD, security, and reliability engineering to enable rapid, safe delivery across Mastercard's engineering

Qualifications

Advanced expertise in Oracle Exadata/RAC/Redis/PostgreSQL in large-scale enterprise environments.
Experience with IaC using Ansible, Chef or Puppet, CI/CD, and automation.
Ability to influence technology strategy and contribute to platform modernization.
Knowledge of security, governance, and regulatory obligations.
Strong collaboration and leadership across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise database platforms across Mastercard applications.
Drive automation, scalability, reliability, security, and developer experience.
Integrate database platforms into CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery processes.
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management activities.
Support Oracle/Redis/PostgreSQL across hybrid and cloud environments.
