Job summary

Mastercard’s Data & Analytics organization seeks a visionary Principal Software Engineer, Data Architecture to define and advance our global data architecture strategy. You will set the architectural vision for modernizing data platforms across hybrid cloud and on‑premises environments, enabling real‑time and batch workloads at scale.

You will mentor global engineering teams, drive governance, security, and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with executive stakeholders to translate business

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Principal Engineer or equivalent technical leadership role driving enterprise-scale data architecture and platform strategy.
• Deep expertise designing, building, and operating distributed data systems at global scale.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud-native data platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Mastercard's global data architecture strategy across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Architect secure, resilient data solutions that meet regulatory mandates including GDPR and data localization requirements.
• Lead modernization of legacy data platforms to cloud-native architectures and drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
