Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a Senior Database Engineering Lead to drive Oracle and AWS data-platform modernization across hybrid environments. You will mentor a team, own data models, and ensure performance, security, and reliability in production systems.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of Oracle and other RDBMS experience.
• Hands-on database development and admin leadership.
• Strong AWS data services experience: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift.
• SQL/PLSQL expertise and query optimization.
• IaC experience: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Unix/Linux scripting and automation skills.
• Knowledge of data governance, encryption, compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent cross-team communication.
• Experience migrating data to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of database development engineers and contribute hands-on.
• Design and maintain Oracle databases and AWS data services.
• Lead data migration from on-premises to AWS.
• Develop and optimize OLTP/OLAP data models.
• Implement HA, DR, and backup strategies.
• Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and security hardening.
• Mentor staff and enforce coding standards.
• Plan and deliver projects aligned to roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Operations.
• Monitor data infrastructure with observability tools.
• Handle production support, incidents, root-cause analysis.
