Job summary

The Database Engineer (Level 3) provides high-level technical expertise across database design, development, implementation, information storage/retrieval, data flow, and analysis. This role works from the initial lifecycle requirements through IOC to design robust database structures aligned with enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities include architecture & design, full lifecycle engineering, query and data manipulation, cloud integration, and trade-off analysis to balance scale,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Ten years of relevant Database Engineer experience on similar programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (5 extra years may substitute).
• Extensive experience with Oracle Database, OEM, and Data Guard.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: lead development of database structures, schemas, parser tools, and loading software.
• Full Lifecycle Engineering: manage requirements from inception through IOC and testing.
• Query & Data Manipulation: build, refine, and automate ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros.
• Cloud & Integration: build complex, modern systems using cloud storage/retrieval and ODBC.
• Trade-Off Analysis: balance scale, access controls, performance, distribution, and security.
