Job summary

J&T is seeking a Database Engineer (Level 3) to provide senior technical leadership in database architecture, development, and deployment. The role focuses on designing relational and object-oriented databases, parser and data-loading software, and aligning data strategies with system architecture.

You will oversee lifecycle engineering from initial requirements to IOC, evaluating trade-offs between data volume, concurrency, security, and performance while ensuring robust, scalable solutions for

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
At least 10 years as a Database Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; five additional years of relevant DBE experience may substitute for the degree.
Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Database, OEM, and Data Guard.
Strong Linux OS proficiency and Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

Architect and lead the development of database structures, schemas, parser tools, and loading software.
Manage full lifecycle engineering from inception through IOC and testing.
Translate complex requirements into robust database schemas and optimized queries/shell scripts.
Build cloud-enabled storage/retrieval approaches and leverage ODBC for integrations.
Balance trade-offs across scale, security, performance, and distribution.
