Job summary

ELEVI in Maryland seeks a seasoned DBE professional to lead database design and development for complex systems. The role requires a current Poly clearance, 10 years of DBE experience in related programs, and a strong background with Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Data Guard. Mongo experience is a plus.

The candidate will drive database architecture, parsing, loading software, and ad hoc query development while coordinating with IT to meet project goals and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Poly clearance.
• DBE: ten years in programs/contracts of similar scope; bachelor's in a technical field required; five years may substitute for degree.
• Extensive experience with installation and patching Oracle Database, Enterprise Manager, and Data Guard.

Responsibilities

• Support database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis.
• Support analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and maintenance efforts.
• Develop long and short term requirements for database administration and design.
• Assist in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
• Create or recreate ad hoc queries, scripts and macros to manipulate data into a master file.
• Develop database structures fitting into overall system architecture.
• Lead development of database structures and related software.
• Develop requirement recommendations from project inception to conclusion.
• Design database structures balancing data volumes, users, distribution, performance, retention, security and domain controls.
• Direct fulfillment and organization of requirements into a usable schema; steer development of queries and macros.
• Direct overall database architecture within the system under development; enable cloud storage and retrieval.
