Position Summary

The Senior Database Engineer provides expert support for maintaining and optimizing the company's multiple backend database systems. This role involves supervising and assisting junior staff with daily tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex database administration and design
• Identify and resolve data issues across environments
• Develop and maintain database architecture and standards
• Analyze production systems and participate in future IT planning
• Collaborate with development and helpdesk teams on code and system issues
• Review and implement database code across servers
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and documentation
• Ensure the security and protection of client data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 6 years of experience in SQL Server database administration
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of data modeling, relational concepts, and data warehousing
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work outside regular hours when necessary
