Department Overview

Centralized Managed and Support Operations (CMSO) delivers software solutions to the public safety sector, providing support for products like Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems, and Mobile Data Computing. The Solutions Support team within CMSO handles Tier 3 escalations for the PremierOne Application, providing technical expertise and acting as a gateway for high-level customer issues, including code defect assessments and root cause analysis.

Job Description

Utilize your SQL database expertise to work with our software development team, employing modern Agile techniques to enhance solutions for our Public Safety customers. The role focuses on maintaining existing applications and developing improvements to boost product quality and customer satisfaction, primarily on-premise, with opportunities to work on cloud-based solutions like Azure CAD. Collaborate closely with customers and support teams to evaluate and improve the PremierOne CAD product’s functionality and performance.

Preferred Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL database programming and administration
• Strong understanding of SQL performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience developing stored procedures and SQL Agent jobs
• Knowledge of SQL Always On and high availability concepts (a plus)
• Experience with SQL Reporting and SSIS (a plus)
• Excellent debugging skills, including SQL Tracing and Logging
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Other Attributes

• Ability to work with offshore teams and Customer Support
• Skill in triaging production issues with customers
• Experience with load and stress testing software quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management and project follow-through
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

Additional Details

• Target Salary Range: $101,300 - $202,600
• Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of SQL experience; ability to obtain background clearance
• Travel: 10-25%
• Position Type: Experienced, Full-time
